Hanaa R. Alhameed


Dr. Hanaa obtained a BSc in Biology department from the University of Basrah in 1990; a Master’s degree in Biology/ecology pollution in 2005 and a PhD in Nanoscience in 2021, from the University of South Carolina(U.S.A), She joined the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, Arnold School of Public Health between 2015- 2021. She return to her mother university at the end of 2021. She recently joined to the ALzaharaa Medical School Her studying area focusing on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology concept. Her current research interest are understanding the fate, behaviour, transformations and environmental impacts of engineered nanomaterials; developing analytical tools and methodologies for characterization, detection and monitoring of engineered nanomaterials in the environment; and understanding the role of metal carriers (nanoparticles and colloids) in the transport of metals in the aquatic environment. The future work will focus on how the small scale of nanoparticle will affect human health and their implication in the health sector.
